Teens Can Help! Seeking Management Team Members Now

Teenagers! Are you interested in helping produce these Under 21 Open Mic shows?
If you are, please let us know by sending an email to: anchoragemusiccoop@gmail.com for an application
or apply on our facebook page
Applications close Saturday, Oct 6th at 11:59pm,
and the team will be selected and formed shortly thereafter.

We feel, as an organization that works with and for youth, it is appropriate and imperative that young people are involved in both the month to month event management and  the long term decision making/growth of the program. So, we are changing our operating format so we can become an organization that is
"for young people, by young people."
To do that, we are creating a volunteer Youth Management Team.
Management team members can fill a variety of roles including:
1) Host - West
2) Host - East
3) Live Sound Engineer, Lighting - West
4) Live Sound Engineer, Lighting - East
5) Photography - East
6) Photography - West
7) Graphic design, posters, logo, merch
8) Marketing, promotion, social media management

Members of the management team will meet once per quarter to discuss what is going well, what we can improve/add/forgo, how we should grow, goals, etc. On site training by an area professional can be provided if requested. No experience necessary.  We are looking for people under 21 years old who have a positive attitude, are respectful of all music/performance genres, and are interested in gaining collaboration experience. This is a great opportunity for young people who are looking to gain volunteer hours for college applications, and/or someone who just wants to give back. Share with those who might be interested! Apply!

Who Helps Make These Shows Happen?

We are thrilled that the Atwood Foundation is supporting our Under 21 Open Mic Program. "The Atwood Foundation was established for the benefit of the people of Anchorage, Alaska & vicinity, particularly the young people, through assisting financially in the initiation, completion and maintenance of non-profit organizations of the arts, journalism, history and other civic enterprises" (http://atwoodfoundation.org/). Our many thanks! We couldn't do it without them.
